Chawan (茶碗; literally “tea bowl”) is a bowl used for preparing and drinking tea. This one-of-a-kind ceramic art piece is designed that of a Wan-Nari or wooden bowl-shaped. Created in Prague and made from fine white stoneware from Germany. Thrown on an electric wheel and then meticulously trimmed by the artist’s hand. High fired in an electric kiln to 1280 ºC. with a titanium and olive green ash glaze, inside glaze is a satin lite wheat. Hand-signed – Gaston CZ and dated – 18.06.2019. Size – h. 40 mm x w. 132 mm
