Description
Chawan (茶碗; literally “tea bowl”) is a bowl used for preparing and drinking tea. This one-of-a-kind ceramic art piece is designed that of a Badarak style or Horse Bucket shape tea bowl. Created in Prague and is made from a fine white stoneware from Germany. Thrown on an electric wheel and then meticulously hand trimmed by the artist. High fired in an electric kiln to 1280 ºC. with a titanium glaze inside and out with brush splashes of cobalt blue, deep olive greens, and plums. An angel spirit is scribed on the inside lip.
